If you haven’t registered to take the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) exam this winter, consider this: a study shows that professionals who hold these certifications move up the career ladder faster and have a higher average salary than those who don’t.

Go to http://www.hrci.org to find out more about the PHR and SPHR certification process.

April 2013 Meeting

When:

Thursday

April 25, 2013

11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

PROGRAM:

Crucial Conversations:

Tools for Talking When Stakes are High

SPEAKER:

Kyle Killingsworth, SPHR

Founder and Principal

Catalyst Consultant Group

OVERVIEW:

Crucial Conversations is a course that teaches skills for creating alignment and agreement by fostering open dialogue around high-stakes, emotional, or risky topics—at all levels of an organization. By learning how to speak and be heard (and encouraging others to do the same), you’ll begin to surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment.

A Crucial Conversation is when stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. These conversations, when handled poorly or ignored, cause team and organizations to get less-than-desirable results. This training program has demonstrated significant improvements in organizations in areas such as: Performance, Productivity, Teamwork, Change Management, Quality, Relationships, Diversity, Meeting Effectiveness

This session is pending HRCI credit

HRCI APPROVED final

"The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the program. It means that this program has met the HR Certification Institute's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit."
