OCHRS was recognized as a Platinum Excel Award Winner for our operations and programs for our membership. OCHRS was recognized in June at the national SHRM conference as a Top 5-chapter donor to SHRM Foundation in the nation. At the start of 2020 a new website was launched as well as a new Customer Relationship Management platform, Membership Works to better serve and communicate with all members. OCHRS is recognized as a SHRM Learning System Champion and offers a Certification Preparation Study Group to members.
Looking ahead to 2020, OCHRS will be offering eleven monthly chapter meetings with another holiday celebration event in December. There will be numerous business-after-hours events for members only and other after-hours events for everyone working or serving the HR profession. There will be a Masters Series events with more in- depth training plus another Non-Profit Leadership Service Academy to prepare our members to serve on non-profit boards across our city and help bring best HR practices to others.
Our efforts in 2019 included growing our OCHRS College Student members to over 40 from the University of Central Oklahoma student chapter that OCHRS helped sponsor over twenty years ago. Our Young Professional committee expanded its scope to be the Emerging Professionals and OCHRS created a new annual award to recognize the best emerging leader of the year.
We communicate with you via social media and our bimonthly newsletter so you will not miss out on any events or relevant HR news. We make frequent posts on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter and have our own company page on LinkedIn. Please stay connected by following OCHRS on those platforms and also periodically visiting our website. Additionally, the Emerging Professionals group and the Diversity Council have a presence on social media.
Thank You for your support to the HR profession and membership in OCHRS.
