OCHRS HR Emerging Professionals group helps create a foundation for OCHRS professional members with five years or less of HR experience by providing resources and educational opportunities relevant to the emerging HR professional today and building a community for the next generation of HR leadership through social media and networking activities.
Q: What kind of events do you have?
A: Although we can change it up from time to time, we usually offer the following events:
-EP LABS: Professional Development Workshops
– Social Networking Opportunities
Q: Why should I attend an event?
A: Well it’s pretty obvious that we are the best group in OKC to join. However, our events are also designed to give you opportunities to network, gain professional development, and socialize with other HR Eps.
Q: Do I have to register for EP events?
A: We hate to be sticklers (although we are in HR!) we ask you to pre-register via the OCHRS website so that we can accurately estimate attendance.
Q: When are most events scheduled?
A: We know time is money and your time is valuable. We try to schedule our events on Thursday evenings.
Q: Do people go to events even if they don’t know anyone there?
A: Absolutely! We were all newbies at one time. That’s one of the driving forces behind our purpose. We want EPs to create professional relationships with other EPs in our profession. We thrive to create an environment at our events where this can happen.
Q: What is my email address used for?
A: Email will only be used to communicate upcoming events and updates. Recipients are welcome to opt-out of the EP emails at any time.
