The Office of the Secretary of Energy & Environment helps develop and advance policies that encourage energy exploration and production and responsible environmental stewardship throughout Oklahoma. In 2013, Governor Fallin merged the energy and environment cabinet offices in the interest of more efficiently serving Oklahoma’s stakeholders for issues that are so often intertwined. The Secretary of Energy and Environment serves as the governor’s chief advisor on energy and environmental policy and is the governor’s cabinet office with oversight over Oklahoma’s energy and environmental agencies.
The Petroleum Alliance is Oklahoma’s oldest and largest oil and natural gas trade association, created by the merger of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association. We are the only trade association in Oklahoma that represents every segment of oil and natural gas, allowing the industry to speak with one voice when advocating for the interests of our members, landowner partners, host communities, and every Oklahoman whose life is touched by this great industry.
Through the voluntary contributions from Oklahoma’s oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners, the OERB is able to bring the petroleum industry to classrooms across the state. The OERB spends millions of dollars annually on curricula and programs that reach students from elementary school to the collegiate level.
The OERB is committed to education in Oklahoma. Providing free training, materials, educational trips and in-class presentations, the OERB is helping Oklahoma teachers reach their students through entertaining activities and experiments.
From safety at well sites, to seismic activity and energy conservation – OERB gives teachers the tools they need to teach students about the oil and natural gas industry
