Continuing Education Units


When you receive a professional certification from HRCI, you must recertify by collecting Continuous Education Units (CEUs) in accordance with the rules of your certification by your HRCI expiration date.

You may recertify by

  • accumulating 60 credit hours of HR-related continuing education activities
  • taking the exam again

To recertify through continuing education, all activities must be

  • completed before the three-year anniversary of your certification cycle
  • HR-related

Searching for Inexpensive CEUs?

The OKC Metro Employer Council is a cooperative educational effort of the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, Workforce Oklahoma partners and Oklahoma City area human resource professionals.  Guests are welcome and no charge is involved.

Human resource professional development programs conducted by the OKC Metro Employer Council less than one day in length qualify for “1 Point Per Program” toward IPMA-CP and IPMA-CS recertification through the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR).
