Annual Holiday Celebration and Award Presentations. This meeting was held at the Petroleum Club Event Center. This is the 2nd year to offer an evening to celebrate the holidays with OCHRS members and friends. We were encouraged to bring a guest to this event. The October meeting was entitled "Permission Granted…To Get Rid of Your B S (Bias Synapse)" and was presented by Risha Grant. Whether implicit or conscious, bias is the number one threat to humanity and any company’s success. If your company’s goal is to create cohesiveness within your organization, increase revenue, be innovative and/or elevate your reputation- the bias in your workforce and community is a roadblock. Employee Benefits, How to Hit a Moving Target was presented by Brady Ayala. We examined the current status of our ever-changing health and welfare climate. Explored cost drivers in our medical and pharmacy spend, trends in technology, care delivery, network arrangements and partnerships. Learned what to do to lower cost and deliver greater employee satisfaction and transparency. Read More

June 2018 Meeting

Our program title - OK2030   A strategic plan to improve Oklahoma’s economy, quality of life, business climate, workforce and fiscal stability The State Chamber of Oklahoma Research Foundation recently launched OK2030 is a strategic vision plan to move Oklahoma to the top of key national rankings by the year 2030. Executive Director Dr. Jennifer Lepard details the goals, strategy, messaging and metrics behind the plan while highlighting the legislative victories achieved this session.   Read More

February 2018 Meeting - Rescheduled

April 2018 Meeting

This was our the first Breakfast chapter meeting at the Will Rogers Theatre on North Western. Wendy Calvin, was a first-time presenter to OCHRS and she spoke on R.O.C.K. your Job - How to prepare yourself and your workforce to deliver exceptional results. Successful people do things (usually simple things) that others are unwilling to do. “R.O.C.K. your Job” enforces the use of beneficial professional practices essential for HR business leaders. March 2018 Meeting

This was a great spring program with Lyndi Zavy, PHR on the Equation of Balance. We discussed balance and relevant implementations (i.e., flex schedules, paid leave, etc.) She wanted us to understand the state of balance implementations in the US and recognize the benefits of balance for employees and employers. She discussed the steps taken to create and implement paid pregnancy/parental leave at local organization. Read More
