Our program title - OK2030
A strategic plan to improve Oklahoma’s economy, quality of life, business climate, workforce and fiscal stability
The State Chamber of Oklahoma Research Foundation recently launched OK2030, a strategic vision plan to move Oklahoma to the top of key national rankings by the year 2030. Executive Director Dr. Jennifer Lepard details the goals, strategy, messaging and metrics behind the plan while highlighting the legislative victories achieved this session. This workforce readiness initiative will provide immediate take-aways for the human resource professional on how to conduct a massive new idea from setting goals, developing the plan and getting started across departments within the company and beyond.
Learning Points for the HR professional:
- Determine the goal setting process from surveys, interviews, steering committee and sub-committees
- Examine strategic management considerations after conducting interviews of past and present “C-Suite” leaders
- Develop understanding of individual differences and perception with regional forums across the state to gather input from the stakeholders
- Create an accountability dashboard to keep the stakeholders, both internal and external, up to date on progress made to develop the plan.
Jennifer Lepard, DrPH, joined the State Chamber in 2014 as Vice President of Government Affairs. Since 2017, Jennifer has also served as the Executive Director of the State Chamber Research Foundation. Jennifer started her career in policy working for the Oklahoma State Senate as a Legislative Analyst. Prior to the State Chamber, she also gained experience at a state agency and in private consulting. Jennifer has a Master of Public Administration and a Doctorate in Public Health and serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Oklahoma.

This is our All Chapters Meeting for 2018. This means that any member of a SHRM Affiliated Chapter in the State of Oklahoma can attend the meeting for the same luncheon price as an OCHRS member. Guests will be recognized for driving in to Oklahoma City for this special annual event.
Our OCHRS Chapter will also be recognizing all the former chapter presidents during the announcement period. One benefit of serving as a chapter president of OCHRS is the membership fee is waived as a lifetime award. We are blessed to have several presidents still working in the Oklahoma City area and supportive of our OCHRS and SHRM goals - advancing the profession and serving the professional. More information will be posted about our past presidents as we get closer to the event.
This meeting is also our annual food drive for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Members and guests are invited to bring in ten non-perishable items of food, canned or boxed, and each person will be eligible for a drawing of a prize donated by OCHRS. Cash or check donations will also be accepted at the chapter meeting. More information will be posted as we approach the chapter meeting date.
