Making Sure Everyone Gets an Equal Piece of the Pie: Understanding Equal Pay Laws to Avoid and Defend Pay-Equity Claims
By attending this seminar, audience members will have a better understanding of the laws that govern equal pay among employees, with an emphasis on gender. This understanding will be achieved by reviewing current federal and state laws governing equal pay as well as applicable recent case law. Finally, attendees will be introduced to steps that employers should consider in setting compensation rates at various stages of employment from initial hiring to promotions.

Don't Let One Bad Apple Spoil the Workplace:  Handling Workplace Bullying and Violence
Attendees will be given an overview of OSHA's position with respect to workplace violence and bullying; the employer's role in investigating threats of violence and bullying; and the employer's role in protecting employees from threats of violence made by third parties (spouse, boyfriend, etc.).

Keeping Employees Out of the Cookie Jar -- An Examination of Best Practices Regarding Non-Solicitation, Non-Disclosure and Other Post-Employment Restrictive Covenants

In this presentation audience members will be introduced to the intricacies of post-employment restrictive covenants.  With an emphasis on non-disclosure agreements as well as non-solicitation agreements (for both customers and employees), the audience will learn about Oklahoma's unique non-competition laws and how to take proactive steps to safeguard their company's intellectual property, customers and employees from being pilfered by former employees.
