Tending the Group Climate: Competition, Toxicity, and Business Outcomes

When we peer into the emotional aspects of a group, we find a range of behaviors, moods, attitudes, and actions that can derail the most intricate strategic plan. The ability to forecast a fluid array of personalities and behaviors, is as challenging as Oklahoma meteorology on any given Spring day. Where are the fine lines of competition that creates and nurtures strong group climates, vs. stepping into the toxicity of hypercompetitive environments. As we’ve seen on the news, such approaches can begin with the best of intentions, and end with the group, the department, or the organization in shambles, potentially without a path to recovery. Human Resources can shine in this role with the ability identify the nuances of communication in alignment with organizational objectives, and tempering behaviors that may erode trust, directness, and support, crushing innovation and creativity in organizations.

Great corporate benefits solutions are your golden ticket to attracting and retaining the best employees. But let’s be real. They can be a major headache to build and administer. The market is complex and administrative costs keep rising. Changing times demand new approaches. And between confusing regulations and overwhelming compliance issues, a one-size-fits-all package isn’t going to cut it.

To help keep your employees happy and healthy, we work with you to understand your pain points and the big benefits picture. Then we carefully craft a program that supports and reflects your company’s vision including unique solutions and out-of-the-box thinking for self-funded health plans, ancillary benefits, benefit technology, compliance challenges, pharmacy solutions, and so much more.
