OCHRS announced a change for the October chapter meeting for both the date and location.  October is Diversity and Inclusion month and the Diversity Council selected Oklahoma City Police LT. Wayland Cubit for the speaker.  The date has been changed to Tuesday, October 22nd.  The location of the presentation was also changed to Francis Tuttle's Bruce Gray Campus, NW 150th and Portland.  The time of the luncheon and presentation remains 11 AM - 1 PM.  Registration for both members and guests will open the week of September 22nd.

Lt. Cubit's educational journey has allowed him the opportunity to study Criminal Justice Administration at the University of Oklahoma, Police Science at Oklahoma State University OKC, and Family Studies & Gerontology at Southern Nazarene University.  He can be seen in a TedXOklahomaCity session on the topic of How To Build Bridges Over Your Bias.

OCHRS Chapter President Anna Jacks stated her "regret having to change the date but this program is going to be one of the best you will hear on diversity and inclusion."
