U.S. Jobs Increase by 130,000 in August
U.S. employers added 130,000 jobs in August, and the unemployment rate held at 3.7 percent, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report. Job growth has been showing signs of slowing down, but a slowdown in employment growth doesn’t necessarily mean the labor market is weakening. Data released by ADP and Moody’s Analytics shows private-sector employment grew by 195,000 jobs in August.
More information is expected later today.
